Intro to Java Workshop @ CV (08/19-08/21 & 08/23/19) 12:30-3:00 p.m. 4-day August 19, 2019

Welcome...before your first day of class, we have some HOMEWORK for you!

• Please have your student set up an account on GitHub. This is a TWO STEP PROCESS. First, on the GitHub site create a username and password which can be easily remembered by student. This account will be used to save class work on the first day (and each day thereafter). Second, after the account is created, GitHub will send you a verification email. You will need to open this email and follow the instructions for account verification. GitHub is a site which stores their code in the cloud so students can access it from home. It will enable students to build and organize their professional portfolio of work. Students will also be able to share their projects with you at home!
• Please send an email to: scheduling@jointheleague.org, and include your student’s name and their new GitHub username (you can send the password as well if you think they may forget it).
• If you haven't completed the online waiver through Docu-Sign, we will follow up and remind you before the workshop begins.

Classes will be at: The League in Carmel Valley ("The Hacienda Building", orange Spanish style building, 12625 High Bluff Dr. #113, San Diego, CA 92130).
